ABOUT ME
I'm an English-to-Spanish Scientific Translator, and I specialize in medical translation. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Scientific and Technical Translation and a postgraduate Diploma as a Medical Translation Specialist. I work as a medical translator (EN>ES) for direct clients and translation companies worldwide.
In addition, I have extensive experience in the Healthcare industry. For nearly 9 years, I worked as a medical secretary in both physician offices and the Clinical Cardiology Emergency Department. This experience, together with my passion for human health, aroused my interest in scientific translation and inspired me to specialize in medicine.
I am aware of the importance of using the right terminology and having a thorough knowledge of the subject matter when translating complex and sensitive content, such as medical texts. My role as a medical translator is to bridge the linguistic gap between doctor and patient.
Medical translators must have a high level of language skill in order to correctly translate documents with no errors. As a professional linguist, I perfectly understand the clients's needs, so my commitment to high standards guarantees that every project is handled with the utmost care and attention to details.
Qualifications & Other Fields of Knowledge
Bachelor's degree as an English Technical, Scientific, and Literary Translator (ISLV), Argentina.
Diploma in Medical Translation Specialist, Professional School of Translation, Spain.
Diploma in Post-editing (MTPE), Professional School of Translation and Interpreting, Spain.
Knowledge of Clinical Nutrition. I studied for one year at the University of Belgrano, Argentina.
Knowledge of Psychology. I studied for three years at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Medical translation requires precision and up-to-date technical knowledge on the part of every medical translator. The instructions are for a surgeon; the language specialist must understand medical terminology to communicate at a professional level of understanding. The medical translators also must be good writers.
